This Gevrey Chambertin comes from a purchase of grapes from a winegrower cultivating his plots in non-certified organic farming. The Pinot Noirs were born in a place called En Rienard, a climate located below the Clos de Bèze grand cru. The vines, around fifty years old, are harvested by hand, then the grapes are vinified as whole harvests in stainless steel vats. Antoine Lienhart practices natural winemaking, without inputs, and it is therefore the native yeasts which initiate the fermentations. The wine is then aged for 10 months in oak barrels of three to eight wines, giving rise to a robust and generous Gevrey. Its ruby color out scents of strawberry, blackberry, and violet, enhanced with a hint of pepper. Rich and full-bodied, its fresh mouth is structured by velvety tannins, extending into a finish with beautiful persistence.
